THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE LAUNCHES A TREASURE HUNT AS HER ‘HOLD STILL’ PHOTO BOOK BECOMES A BESTSELLER

Showing her sense of fun, the Duchess of Cambridge last week sparked a nationwide treasure hunt to celebrate the culmination of her photography project Hold Still as it was released as a book.

Last Friday – exactly a year from the launch of her contest, which aimed to share the “powerful stories” of the Covid-19 pandemic – Kate played fairy godmother and left a copy of Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation in 2020 for a stranger to find next to the statue of Queen Victoria in London’s Kensington Palace Gardens.

It was one of 150 copies hidden in secret locations across the UK by the Book Fairies, a literary movement encouraging people
