220 WOMEN’S TOP-END VERDICT

The good news? There are no clangers here. Hand us any of these suits and point uspushing innovation, but we didn’t see enough extra speed or comfort in the water to justify the spend, especially as the suit is only suitable for warmer climes. We would be interested to try the brand’s colder-water suit, though. The is a good quality pick, yet a little too buoyant for this tester and again, big bucks. We prefer our Sailfish Attack, but if you do suffer from sinky legs then the Ultimate IPS+ is a good buy if you have the budget. This brings us down to the battle between swim giants, and , who all sit in the £600 bracket and offer fantastic performance and value for money. But in terms of flexibility and performance over a 400m test loop, the just scrapes the win for the second time running. It’s a close call though, and if you’re able to, we’d recommend trying suits at demo days to find the perfect fit for you.
