Mower overhaul part 6

DIFFICULTY RATING

The mower project is well under way now, having been pulled from under a hedge where it had been languishing for a few years. The April issue saw me refitting the fingers (guards) to the cutter bar. This month I’ve been focussing on the fitting of the replacement bearing for the connecting rod.

Followers of this series may recall me taking the original broken bearing to my local bearing supplier, who did some calling around to obtain a price and availability for a direct replacement.
