Suffolk foal gives new hope for vulnerable breed
A Suffolk Punch foal has been born in Yorkshire for the first time in 40 years.
Sally and Toby Bates’ White Rose Phoenix (‘Pheo’), by Colony Cuthbert, is named after vet Phoebe O’Sullivan, who carried out his dam Holbeache Mirabelle (‘Miri’)’s artificial insemination procedure last year and cared for her throughout the pregnancy.
