    KEEPING CLUB ROOT AT BAY

    I read your article on club root in the March edition of Kitchen Garden with interest. I’m chairman of Fishguard Allotments Association, we started in 2010. First and second and possibly the third year we had no problem with club root. Over the next few years most of us had loads of manure delivered and lo and behold, club root became visible.

    Last year I did a small experiment. I got the tallest pots I could find with at least a 6in circumference, filled my pots with fresh compost, planted my cabbage etc., grew
