Dr Peuramaki-Brown is an archaeologist and associate professor at Athabasca University, specialising in the complex societies of Mesoamerica. She is also the principal investigator of the Stann Creek Regional Archaeology Project (SCRAP) in Belize, and she has worked at sites in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Antigua-Barbuda, Finland and Canada.
