Elderly Hong Kong couple found dead, husband believed to have killed himself

An elderly couple were found dead in their Hong Kong home on Saturday night.

According to police, the couple's son called for help around 7pm after finding his 83-year-old father hanging by a window in the flat in the Wiseman Building on Fort Street, in North Point.

His 85-year-old mother was discovered unconscious on the couple's bed.

The pair were rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital, in Wan Chai, but were certified dead soon afterwards.

A police spokesman said they were treating the man's case as suicide, and an investigation was under way.
