LET’S STOP BULLIES

I read with a grim sense of hindsight the comments from a gamekeeper(Letters, 7 April). The appalling treatment meted out to his son is not as uncommon as some people believe while out on a day’s shooting and afterwards socialising with the headkeeper, having a friendly drink and convivial conversations.

All too often this tranquil scene masks an ingrained culture of bullying; mental and verbal abuse being dealt out to the junior members of what most people would see as a picture of harmonious team spirit induced by their host for the day.
