Chris Braide’s chartered jet touched down in the UK back in October. Ten years (almost to the day) after his LA adventure began, he, his wife/manager Olivia and their two children were finally coming home.
The Lancashire lad had done very well in the US. Over that decade Braide built up a successful career as a go-to songwriter for big stars including Beyoncé, Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera and, notably, left-field Australian pop star Sia. But as 2020 did its worst, the pull of home became irresistibly strong.
“There were a few reasons really,” Braide tells . “There were tensions building with the presidential election, the pandemic meant we were pretty much under house arrest for eight months, and the kids were getting to 15 and in the last few years of school.
