amekeepers are responsible for a section of estate or land management, and that management is often wide ranging. There is an ongoing discussion among some of our representative bodies regarding the changing of the name from gamekeeper to something that better describes the duties of the modern-day role, but while old salts like me baulked at such an idea, are we right to do so?
