Q I’ve got a few limited edition air rifles and so far have resisted the temptation to actually shoot them as I’m worried about them losing their value. Should I keep them mint or just enjoy them?

A AS A KEEN collector of limited and special edition rifles, I can tell you that that is a difficult question to answer. I suppose it all comes down to why we collect. There’s the enjoyment of the rifles themselves, but there’s also that feeling of accomplishment when you track down the rarest of rifles. Personally, I love the chase of that white whale of a rifle – for me, the hunt can be as satisfying as the ownership.
