Hold on tight

Walking into our local hospital, in New Jersey, USA, I squeezed my husband’s hand.

Shawn, 37, and I had been trying and failing to have a baby together for about a year.

In December 2018 we turned to IVF treatment.

When February 2019 came around and we found out the treatment didn’t work, it was really worrying for us both.

It felt like there could be a chance we’d never be able to have a baby together – but I wasn’t going to give up.
