Hindu statue graces retreat

CEDRIC John “CJ” Hood said he always had a connection to the spiritual world.
In 2002, he went on a pilgrimage to the Himalayas where he participated in meditation and learnt about Hinduism and its gods. At the time, he purchased deities (statues) of Lord Shiva, the supreme being in Shaivism, and Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. He felt a connection to Hinduism, and he thereafter visited India four times.
