Fear of fear itself

What exactly is agoraphobia? A fear of humans? Fortunately, no. Agoraphobia include humans – standing in a queue or a crowd, using public transport, being in open spaces or outside one’s home, and being in an enclosed space. But wait. Enclosed spaces – that’s claustrophobia, right? As a child, I was told agoraphobia was a fear of open spaces and claustrophobia was a fear of being locked in a coffin. Um, no, not necessarily.
