VW DERRINGTON

ver the years there have probably been more companies that have tuned Minis than any other car. Existing firms began tuning Minis soon after the car was launched and in the very early 1970s was VW Derrington. I have to admit that, at first, I dismissed them as I immediately, wrongly, assumed that they were a Volkswagen tuning company. It wasn’t that I didn’t like VWs, as I did and still do, but I was 13 and looking for anything Mini. A closer look at the advert and it soon emerged that they did a lot with Minis and other cars too.
