Q I want to buy an awning that will fit along the canopy awning rail on my motorhome, but I’ve been told I need to be careful because awnings come in different sizes. Is this correct? Michael (surname withheld)

It is true that the size of the rails in canopy awnings differs according to manufacturer. It is usually either 4mm or 6mm. However, you can easily buy drive-away kits that have adaptors for either size. So if you have an awning that will only fit 6mm, you can
