Boat International US Edition

EDITOR’S LETTER

y the time this issue finds its way into readers’ mailboxes, we’ll know who has triumphed at the America’s Cup – Luna and losing in the America’s Cup. Taking inspiration from the fantastic sailing in New Zealand, we’ve packed plenty of wind-powered action into this issue. If you’ve never heard of Mike Horn, I urge you to turn to page 92 immediately. Adventure sailors don’t come cooler than this South African, who has defied death on just about every continent, and has even survived having a iceberg roll on top of him (if you haven’t seen the video, you can find it on our Instagram). But don’t worry if you’re not a sailor, there’s still plenty of power on tap – mainly in the form of the elegant explorer (page 58).
