Fabio Ermetto now 49 graduated from Rotterdam University with a degree in naval engineering. His working experience forged him in technical –sales departments of some of the most renowned international yacht brands such as Benetti, Heesen Yachts, Fraser, Camper and Nicholson. He’s been chief commercial officer at Baglietto since November 2020. His main function is to prioritise the development of a new range of products.
Baglietto is s smaller company when compared to some of the others he worked for up until recently. Have you already discovered you have a lot more work to deal with?
Yes lot’s more I don’t know exactly but surely a different one because operating within a large group is very different from working in a boutique shipyard. And what’s more we’re not talking about whether one is better than the other because we’re simply addressing two diverse business models. One is principally counting on volume while the other on made to order. One has to face up to considerable financial issues and the other needs to be highly flexible.
I seem to understand that you are already inclined towards the latter of the two. Am
