Dave Marshall the confidence to jump into the ring

At the age of 25, Dave Marshall stopped everything. He quit his job, left his girlfriend and became an out-and-proud personal trainer. Living as his true self gave him the confidence to follow his childhood dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Now 31, the Perth-based Australian is the Southern Hemisphere Wrestling Alliance’s Heavyweight Champion, which he won at 2019’s Royal Rumble. Here, Dave tells us about chasing his dreams and raising cash for charity through his accounts on Twitch and OnlyFans.

When did you discover wrestling?

I was 12 when I discovered wrestling, so it would have been around 2000. We had recently got cable [TV], and it was one of the very first things I saw, which I believe was a fight on a staircase.
