The battle for workers’ rights

THE constant refusal by our democratically elected government to implement the Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) Resolution 1 of 2018 is a frontal attack on the collective bargaining rights, section 23 of the Labour Relations Act, that is supposed to be enjoyed by workers.

The rights that are being eroded by the government did not come on a silver platter. It took blood and sweat to achieve them during the dark era of apartheid.
