Dining areas (TO FEED YOUR FACE IN)

The formal dining room, used for high days and holidays (okay, just Christmas Day), is pretty much dead and buried, and nobody’s in mourning. Most modern homes favour open-plan living, while many older homes have been reconfigured with the same aim. Even if you have a separate dining room boasting the full quota of walls, chances are it also functions as a playroom, home office or place to relax/escape the kids.
