ELTON JOHN SLAMS VATICAN OVER SAME-SEX WEDDINGS

SIR Elton John, 73, has blasted the Vatican’s refusal to bless same-sex marriages. The musician – who married David Furnish in 2014 – has taken aim at the Vatican after it was announced that the Catholic Church will not be blessing same-sex marriages because they believe it is a “sin”.

On Twitter, Elton wrote: “How can the Vatican refuse to bless gay marriages because they ‘are sin’, yet make a profit from investing millions in Rocketman, a film which celebrates my finding happiness from my marriage to David??”

The Vatican said the Catholic Church will still “welcome and bless” LGBTQ people, but not their legal unions. | Bang Showbiz
