RANSOMES WHEELS AND HUBS

I am not sure yet when this MG 2 was built, but it has to be over 70 years old as Ransomes built this model between 1936 and 1948 when production of the MG 5 superseded the earlier design. Allowing for the fact that I have owned this machine for at least ten years and the previous owner rescued it from the yard where he worked. Plus, it had probably been there for another ten years, which leaves 50-odd years that this machine could have worked. Judging by what I have found so far, it was worked hard and very little in the way of maintenance appears to have been given in that time.

Front hubs/gearbox
