Turning 50 was more than just a milestone birthday. For me, it was the start of a whole new chapter in my life, a chance to celebrate just how far I had come. Only a few years before, I’d been miserable, unhappy with myself and lacking any confidence. Overweight, I hated how I looked, and my size seemed to dictate my life, stopping me from doing things I enjoyed and wearing what I wanted. I knew I had to start taking some control back and, with my 50th birthday on the horizon, I knew that it was now or never.
