MUST DO

Regular check-ups with your doctor, clinic nurse or midwife are essential. Make an appointment for your first visit as soon as you see two stripes or a plus on your pregnancy test. If you have no medical problems, you will have monthly checks until 32 weeks. These will become two weekly until 36 weeks and weekly after that, until your baby is born. If your healthcare provider is worried about anything at any stage, or if your pregnancy is categorised high risk, you may need more tests and monitoring more often.
