Remembered as a visionary

AMAZULU King Goodwill Zwelithini has been hailed for his unwavering charisma, his contribution to the fight against HIV/Aids and his loyalty to his country.

When the announcement of the king’s death shook the country yesterday, tributes from across the political and civil society spectrum began pouring in.

King Zwelithini’s long reign, since 1968, could be felt through them.

He was 72 and died in hospital following treatment for his glucose levels.
