Yeah, if you’re making sampled beats, then you need to dig for sounds. A lot of music nowadays is made from digging, even pop music that has no samples but the whole song is inspired by other artists. Digging is the backbone of all genres but in sampled based music we like to take the sounds from the source because of the way it sounds.
