In the aǼtermath of World War 2, a handful of Christian airmen and women surveyed a world devastated by war; one where aircraft had been used for defence and destruction. The question stirring their hearts was: ‘Could planes used so effectively for war bring peace and help to isolated people in unreached areas?’
Among them, Betty Greene, a 25-year-old WASP pilot, Stuart King, an RAF engineer and D-Day veteran, and RAF Squadron Leader Jack Hemmings believed they could.
