hile this release show for last year’s album is a few months late, the handful of and resplendent in their righteous Thin Lizzy worship. If the band’s enjoyment wasn’t clear enough from their exuberant posturing and Hakim Krim’s insistence that the beer supply be drained, a jovial jaunt through a bit of during confirms it. and offer some respite with their more reflective groove, but it’s the full-throttle riffs of and closer where band and the dozen onlookers are in their element. A crisp sound makes up for the show being filmed on one handheld camera, but the slapdash feel all adds to the rugged feel of a gig that’s both indicative of Dead Lord’s no-nonsense approach and a refreshing tonic to the sumptuous, cinematic showpieces that we’ve been spoilt with recently.
