Writing for a magazine is a strange business. I sit here, bashing out these columns, throwing in the odd one-liners and not really knowing if any of them are landing. Occasionally, someone will tweet or email something nice when they’ve read a column, sometimes it’s less complimentary, but direct feedback is rare and on an enormous satellite delay.
