THE past year has been tough for us all. Across the globe the Covid-19 pandemic has shaken society to the core, and it has highlighted the very extremes of humanity – from the very best through to, distressingly, the very worst.
Yet in the midst of the illness, deaths, lockdowns, job losses and suffering, there have been countless kindnesses. Whether it’s checking up on neighbours or sewing scrubs, marshalling at vaccination centres or co-ordinating foodbank donations, those who have ‘done their bit’ can look back on these hard times with pride, knowing that they did whatever they could to help the vulnerable and support vital services.
