TYPES OF WEATHER

Minecraft has three types of weather that occur across the entire Overworld at the same time: Clear, Rain and Thunderstorm.

CLEAR is the standard “no weather” setting. Daylight tops out at a light level of 15.

RAIN falls in biomes where the temperature is 0.15-0.95, meaning you won’t see any in deserts or snowy regions. In fact, in snowy regions, rain falls as snow – more on that later!
