Her lyrics might not be as light-hearted as Katy Perry’s, she doesn’t bust a move in her music videos like the Britney Spears of yesteryear and she may not work the sex appeal angle like Ariana Grande, but rest assured that Billie Eilish is on a very similar trajectory to that of her pop star predecessors. And while she may not have followed the same formula as the many before her have, the 19-year-old insists she’s not doing it on purpose.
