Utility rooms (TO MAKE A CLEAN SWEEP)

The utility room is known as the ‘workhorse’ of your home. In reality, of course, you are the workhorse – sadly the Laundry Fairy doesn’t actually exist – but a good utility facilitates a smooth-running home. Or at least helps prevent it from sinking into a pit of skanky sock-strewn squalor. A good utility also helps make life’s most odious, soul-destroying tasks more appealing. OK, maybe not appealing. But there’s definitely a certain satisfaction to be had when there’s a place for everything and you can get to the washing machine without parkour-grade moves.
