THE DINGO EFFECT

LTHOUGH THE DINGO is introduced, it’s been in Australia long enough to have become a functional part of the natural ecological system, functioning as if it’s a native species. It’s widely considered to have replaced the thylacine (Tasmanian tiger) as a top-order predator. In fact, it was once held solely responsible for the disappearance of the thylacine on mainland Australia. Research published in 2011, however, suggests
