Honey slice with roasted strawberries

PREP + COOK TIME 45 MINS SERVES 12

2 cups (300g) self-raising flour
1 cup (150g) plain flour
3 tsp anise seeds
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup (80g) fine semolina
½ cup (110g) caster sugar
½ cup (70g) slivered almonds, roasted
¾ cup (180ml) olive oil
½ cup (125ml) milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp honey
2 tsp icing sugar Greek-style yoghurt, to serve

HONEY SYRUP

1½ cups (525g) honey
1/3 cup (80ml) water
1/3 cup (75g) caster sugar

ROASTED STRAWBERRIES

500g small strawberries
1 vanilla bean
2 tbsp caster sugar

1 Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a 20cm x 30cm slice pan.
