It was the happy news the royals had been waiting for and the arrival of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child brought huge cheer to the Queen and her family last week.
The monarch’s ninth great-grandchild arrived into the world at 8.55am on Tuesday 9 February, weighing a healthy 8lb 1oz.
Eugenie gave birth at the private Portland Hospital in London, where both she and her elder sister Princess Beatrice were born, with her proud husband at her side.
Three days later, on Friday 12 February, the new parents were spotted leaving hospital, with Eugenie waving happily to photographers as she sat in the back seat of their car alongside the new arrival, whose car seat obscured him from view. New dad
