Interesting to read your insightful piece about Leonard Cohen in the 1970s, a period in his career that is often overlooked []. I went to see the great man live at Sheffield City Hall during his 1976 European Tour. It was, and still is, the only time I’ve ever been to a concert on my own. Back then, nobody I knew was remotely interested in Leonard’s music, and couldn’t understand why I liked him so much.
