    WHAT IS AN EXHAUST AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

    An exhaust system is specialist piping used to guide exhaust gases away from the engine. It is also ‘silenced’ to reduce the noise a car’s engine makes. Performance exhaust systems still guide the exhaust gases away from the engine, but do so in a less restrictive fashion, which results in increased power potential and throttle response. Plus, many performance exhausts are tuned to provide a more sporty soundtrack too.
