Things have been largely on hold for the Hilo Trollers because of COVID-19, social distancing and the New Year holiday. By the next issue, I should be able to report that the club has confirmed the 2021 board of directors and announce some tentative plans for the 2021 tournament season. It is unlikely that any first tournament will be held before the first week of May, and then only if COVID-19 is under control. As always, safety must come first!

Because trolling is very slow right now, many captains are “resting” their boats and may also be struggling financially. It is a good time to do some unhurried repair and maintenance on boats, trailers, trucks, rods, reels and terminal gear. If you do get out and are
