The power of THE SORT OUT

Clothes, books, paperwork, gadgets, workout kit, stuff… it gets everywhere, doesn’t it? A recent study reveals that on average we have an incredible £2,600 worth of unwanted possessions in our homes*. Despite several clear-outs during the long days of lockdown, I am still left with various decluttering dilemmas, from clothes I’m unlikely to ever wear again (backless evening dress, anyone?) to the ‘good’ dinner service that never sees the light of day… not to mention the flotsam and jetsam of everyday stuff that is constantly building up in-between.

Yet research confirms that living in a messy environment blocks productivity and causes anxiety, which then impacts on other areas of our life, leaving us feeling overwhelmed.
