Sitting in the back of a taxi on the way home from my local Tesco superstore, it was just like any other food shop trip.

It was 22 July 2020 when me and my boyfriend Nickylee, 20, were on our 10-minute taxi ride back home – we’d lived together for about a year after being together for four.

‘Fancy some games on the Xbox later?’ Nickylee asked me.

‘That sounds like a plan!’ I replied, as I stared out of the window of the taxi watching the blur of the cars go by.

Whilst I was in my mum’s womb, my brain didn’t form properly, leaving me brain damaged so I only have 50 per cent of my vision with red to green colour blindness.

But none of this stopped me from living a normal life.
