AMANDA’S TOP TIPS

• The main tip I have for new writers is to believe• Also, read: see what’s being published, and learn from more established writers. Most writers are happy to give advice.• Try to start and finish a book, no matter how rough it is. This will give you a huge sense of achievement. You can always polish it later. But you can’t polish a blank page.• And don’t give up hope when your work is rejected because, unless you’re really lucky, sometimes it will be. I could paper a room with the rejection letters I’ve had over the years. Work hard, be determined, and you’ll get there.
