LARGE AND IN CHARGE

Stepping aside the Springfield is like casting your leg over the back of a Clydesdale horse – the initial impression being of size, underlain with a subtle hint of hidden power and strength. Not only is the Indian physically large – the 67” wheelbase only balanced out by the high and wide bars that initially seem a little too far away for comfort or natural controllability – but also has a monster of a powerplant too, with the 2020 version of the Thunderstroke engine being stretched out to a full 116 cubic inches (five cubic inches more than previously), which is a full and wholesome 1890cc for those of us not used to using American capacity terms.
