For decades, race winners have thanked their teams, families, bikes and even the “big man upstairs” but what about the other facets of a factory team? Surely they play some part in helping the rider secure that win? Being able to relax in your trackside palace rather than in the blazing sun under a tree sitting on a camp chair must be of some benefit. I mean, for crying out loud, in 2019 and 2020 we saw racers take dogs and doughnuts up on the dais, so why can’t their precious trucks get some glory?
