This series, a spin-off of Diff’rent Strokes, followed Mr Drummond’s housekeeper, Mrs Garrett (Charlotte Rae), to her new job at a girls boarding school. It became a favourite in its own right and was one of the longest-running sitcoms of the era, from 1979 to 1988.
