NATIONAL RAILWAY HERITAGE AWARDS 2020

Held virtually on December 2, rather than in the usual sumptuous surroundings of London’s Merchant Taylor’s Hall, the event was watched online with a strong list of highly commended projects in contention throughout the UK.

Naturally Network Rail, as the largest owner of railway structures in mainland UK, dominated the lists but it was joined by a raft of others. Among these were several train operating companies including Greater Anglia, GWR, LNER and Trenitalia c2c, plus Transport for London,
