DAVEY PAXMAN TO FINALLY CLOSE

The famous old Davey Paxman works site in Colchester (acquired by MAN of Germany in 2000) is to close. The Paxman business, founded in 1865, moved to its present site in 1876. Closure early next year will mark the end of 144 years of manufacturing here, say Patrick Knight and Richard Carr.
