IT SEEMS to be the only thing anyone can talk about: vaccines, vaccines, vaccines. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, throughout the world scientists have been testing vaccines hoping to stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
Some countries such as Britain, Belgium and Argentina have already launched their vaccination programmes, but South Africa has had to wait.
There has been a lot of criticism directed at the government because of the delay.
Much to everyone's relief, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize recently announced that SA will receive a million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which was developed by Oxford University
