REDISCOVERING PILANESBERG

As the warmer months descended late last year, and lost liberties returned, I felt that a midweek break from the burgeoning busyness of urban life into the bush would be the perfect treat. Pilanesberg Game Reserve was my choice.

An easy two-hour drive from Joburg and I found myself in unusual terrain. The landscape here is particularly interesting as the reserve is contained in a series of spectacularly eroded circular rings formed by a long extinct volcano.
